Tuesday July 26 5:00 to 6:00pm: Indian Cooking with Joan and
Thom Gorman of the Millbrook Inn
What's Up in the Garden This Week with Sally Kendall
Salad Turnips - Milder than radishes but with the same crunch salad
turnips are a great addition to a salad either sliced into thin rounds
or cut into matchstick-sized slices.
Sally recommends tossing the salad turnips in a homemade vinaigrette
for a nice crispy side dish.
Here is a recipe for a
beet and turnip salad from Yankee magazine where the salad turnips
will work great. I haven't tried it, but I have never tried a
Yankee Magazine recipe that I didn't like.
